This hasn’t worked for me

I've searched and searched for how to do this. Checked yours and plugged in my wire to connect it to my xbox and it still wont sink up. Does anyone know how to get this to work? I even quit the game fully and retried, the orange circle shows for a few seconds, closest I can get is pressing pause and when I leave the menu the orange shows up and I press the trigger to get the green circle. It's perfectly lined up for a second and then fails.

I was so frustrated starting out but 350 hours later I don’t get the complaints a lot of people have. I think the menus and storage system is fine. I’ve only had two major problems. The first was the crashing which was pretty much fixed with the latest patch. The second is the inter system cargo linking seemed hit or miss when it comes to working.

Thank you for making me feel like I’m not INSANE! I’m playing on very hard- waiting on ultra hard to upgrade all my gear.. but every time I go to get these resources I am unsure of what part to knock off! I can tag parts- and knock those off but rarely will I see the part I need to tag. I’m assuming it’s in the resource container? Idk but a lot of people turn on easy loot (custom difficulty and then choose very hard for everything else) or switch to easy or story mode. I don’t want to do that. I want to experience the difficulty as they intended me to. Since I have played through SO many times haha😂

There's loot every time you destroy a ship. the white arrows on your hud will point you to it. The loot crate has to be in front of you, targeted, and within 500 meters. (center them in your reticule and push A to target the loot crates) I did that mission last night and it was awesome. Liked it so much I even put a video on YT of it. Even managed to board a couple of The First ships. Of course I was at level 49 and flying a MUCH more powerful ship so I had an easier time of it. Don't feel too bad about having to drop the difficulty. Some of the combat can be quite difficult if you haven't upgraded your ship, (or suit for ground combat) and a controller's not the easiest thing to aim with. And there were a LOT of ships patrolling that planet. For targeting subsystems in combat, (like engines so you can dock) you need to go into targeting mode then side to side to select with the right stick which means you can't fly your ship while in targeting mode. Time slows down in targeting mode though so just select the engines and hammer at them till they're done, then even if they're still firing, get within 500m to get the docking prompt. It helps to be behind them before going into targeting mode. Keep in mind that you won't be able to dock while other ships are still firing on you, so you can only board the final ship of a battle, but it's well worth doing since you'll get a lot more loot than by just destroying them and you can keep the ship if you want. (and if you have the skill to fly it. It hurts to take over a nice B or C class ship and not be able to keep it because you need piloting 3 or 4) If you want to make the frontier better in combat, you might want to upgrade the shields, get rid of the lasers and ballistic cannon and use electron beams instead, and maybe put in a more powerful reactor. Shields explain themselves, Electron beams do the same damage to shields and hull so you don't have to keep switching weapons, and the better reactor will let you fully power more systems. It also helps to get used to using thruster mode in combat. You need piloting 1 and by default it's on the right bumper, but it's so useful I put it on the left trigger and put my second weapon group on the right bumper. Thuster mode lets you strafe up/down and left/right which makes you easier to hit as well as turn your ship while drifting in your original direction to keep your guns on a target as it passes you. When you're landing for an objective, it's usually the nearest marker you can select, but it's never right ON the quest marker. The mech factory you originally chose was the correct place to land. Another tip for you is that you can hold your start button on your controller to open your system map. If you want the local surface map, open the scanner and there's a button there to open it. (RB I think) And since it's easy to miss and never explained, the little white mark on your watch just outside of the planet icon indicates north. (which makes your surface map MUCH more useful) You also don't need to use a favorite slot for your cutter. It's available by using the right trigger any time you open the scanner and closing the scanner will switch back to your previously held weapon. This would give you another free spot for a battlestim or something. Some cases can't be opened with your scanner open though. The black reticule in scopes drives me nuts. Should be a red post or something. If you have a lot of trouble using scopes, try finding a gun with a recon scope or recon laser. (or just add one yourself) it will highlight the enemy and make the black reticule stand out more on them. Another option is to use a scoped laser rifle like the Equinox or Orion since you can see the beam and don't have to rely on the reticule as much. I don't usually bother to try and shoot mines though. I just boost into the air when I hear them arm. By the way, I haven't watched your other videos so in case you weren't aware, guns, suits, helmets and packs have 4 grades. Unnamed is the lowest, then calibrated, then refined, then advanced. If you can find a higher grade of weapon or gear you like, it's probably worth switching unless you're switching from an epic or legendary varient or it has some really special mod like the 4 shot coachman. You might also want to loot more. Being over encumbered in this game doesn't slow you down much. You can still run and sprint, you just need to stop and catch your breath more and you can make a LOT in loot. I usually average about 15 to 20k for a ground installation, although this one was probably closer to 60 to 70k if you pick up every gun, suit, pack, and helmet. Takes a while to sell all that, but ship upgrades can be expensive. When you are selling, but every med pack and digipick each vendor has. You're just giving them more money to buy your junk with and when you've got a lot of med packs you're not shy about keeping your heath topped up. Anyways, hope you don't mind the giant wall of text I left as a comment. I really like this game and I tend to offer a lot of advice on it.
